Este fin de semana se ha celebrado el Campeonato de España de Rodeo en Ourense, en la misma ola donde a finales de julio se disputará el Campeonato de Europa de Rodeo 2008.

La competición se celebró integramente el sábado en la "Ola del Puente del Milenio". Aunque queda muy poco tiempo para el cto. de europa, devido a burocracia la ola no tiene contra, lo que hace que tengas que remontar por la orilla.
La ola esta en diagonal, es pequeña y tiene muy poca fuerza, lo que hace muy difícil sacar buenas maniobras.
Después de la competición fuímos haciendo camino hasta Donosti, donde dormimos, y el domingo por la mañana remamos un poco en la playa de la Zurriola.
Al estar bajando la marea el mar no estaba en sus mejores condiciones pero pasamos muy buen rato. Después continuamos el viaje de vuelta.

You are right, it isn't a spot for a European Champs... and there's no eddy service for the moment!!! I don't know what are they doing, but it's not gonna work out.
We should do something, however I think it's too late..

I'm Gerd's brother , and I think that u're completly right about the ourense spot I think It's the worst venue in spain to celebrate a european championships. The organizers of the championship changed Frieira for Ourense spot because the ourense council said that they would pay more money but really they don't help to organize the championship.
Anyway it's going to be a very poor competition.
The water level of the wave is kinda difficult to control, so there will be few hours of water.
