  • 7º invitational White Water Grand Prix, Quebec (CAN)

Catalonia, Spain

My name is Gerd Serrasolses, I’m 22 years old and I live in Sort, (Catalonia) Spain.
I started kayaking when I was 15 years old at the kayak club in my hometown, the Salt-Ter. During the first years I was only kayaking on Saturday mornings, but I quickly started to love it so I was going boating as often as possible. When I was 17 I moved to Sort where I could paddle more, study and work as a River Guide in Roc Roi during Spring and Summer. After finishing High School I travelled to South America; Chile and Argentina for the whole Winter. It was an awesome trip and a great experience for me, I paddled on some amazing rivers and discovered beautiful places at the same time  I met lots of good friends and great people. Back from the trip I started my Industrial Design Engineering college studies in Girona where I didn’t have many chances to paddle… After three hard years of not as much boating as I’d like to, I’m now free and ready to fully focus into kayaking. However the last couple years have been really tough due multiple injuries, I’ve had great times in the water and some good results and accomplishments in 2011.

Looking forward to the future and what’s to come! Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me out on my way and thanks to my sponsors who help me achieve all my goals!
